As we continue to highlight our staff during our 50th Anniversary celebrations, we shine a light on Craig Graham, our Product/Operations Engineer. As he has been with the company now for 7 years we take a look at his role and also some of his interesting hobbies outside of work.
Mostly my time is spent conducting the final test on systems before they are shipped to customers. The other major part of my job is travelling to the customer site to install the system and train the new users. It is a very varied role with lots of time spent working with other departments in the company.
Travelling is probably the best part – I have had the luxury of experiencing many different cultures and visited places in the world that I would never have had the chance to otherwise. Getting to try the local foods is certainly memorable, sometimes a highlight, sometimes not so much.
In my spare time my main activity is mountain biking. In a normal year I travel all over Scotland competing in different races – it is something I am really looking forward to when we are able to do so.
I come from a farming background so grew up on a farm that my brother now runs, so I know a little too much about tractors.
I would probably be off up some steep sided mountain or in some muddy woods riding bikes with friends.
Getting back into racing which will hopefully happen later in the year. So, I need to get back up to speed on downhill tracks after too many gentle rides around home over the last year.
