Trenton R. Ensley and Ryan M. O’Donnell, CCDC – U.S. Army Research Laboratory, Sensors and Electron Devices Directorate, Adelphi, MD 20783, USA

A team of scientists at the U. S. Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, M.D., have produced an application note utilising an FS5 Spectrofluorometer and Ti:Sapphire laser ifor measuring the two-photon absorption spectra of organic solutions. Led by Dr. Trenton R. Ensley and Dr. Ryan M. O’Donnell, they worked with Edinburgh Instruments to provide a modified FS5 sample holder to include a breadboard base and laser-input iris, such that they could mount dedicated optics for steering and focusing the pulsed-laser excitation to the collection focal point of the sample’s emission.

We are always excited when our customers push the limits of our systems, and are enthusiastic to discuss custom options to facilitate and accelerate your research needs for the next generation of photonic materials and devices. Please contact our applications and sales teams for additional information, especially if you’d like to be featured in a future application note based on your Edinburgh Instruments collected data.
